At Insyder LLC ("Insyder", "we", "our", "us"), we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your data when you use our services, including our website, browser extension, mobile apps, and related products (the "Service").

By using the Service, you consent to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

a. Information You Provide

  • Account details (email, name, login credentials, avatar from OAuth).
  • Content you submit (URLs, associated metadata).

b. Information Derived by the Service

  • Extracted text from submitted URLs.
  • Summaries, tags, and insights generated by AI.
  • Personalized profile data ("AI User Memory"), generated automatically by default (opt-out available).

c. Payment Information

  • Processed by Stripe; we do not store full payment card details.

d. Technical and Usage Data

  • IP address, browser type, device information.
  • Activity logs (features used, content processed, timestamps).
  • Analytics from Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service.
  • Process your content with AI models to generate summaries and outputs.
  • Personalize your experience (AI User Memory).
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Monitor performance and improve the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Communicate with you about your account or updates.

3. AI Processing

  • User Content is processed with AI providers (currently DeepSeek; we may integrate others like OpenAI, Gemini, Claude).
  • AI Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete.
  • We do not use your personal data or content to train our AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share information only with:

Service providers:

  • Google Cloud / Firebase (hosting and database).
  • Stripe (billing).
  • AI model providers (content processing).
  • GA4 and Clarity (analytics).

Legal obligations:

when required by law, regulation, or court order.

Business transfers:

in case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data Retention

  • Account data: retained while the account is active, then deleted within 30 days after deletion request.
  • User Content (cards, summaries): deleted when removed by the user; residual copies in backups deleted within 30 days.
  • Logs: retained up to 90 days.
  • Billing records: retained for up to 7 years for compliance purposes.

6. Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Firestore access is restricted by user-specific rules.
  • No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, UK-GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Request correction or deletion.
  • Export your data (we provide an export function).
  • Opt-out of AI User Memory personalization.
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from such children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us for deletion.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.

For users in the EU/UK, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other lawful safeguards.

10. Cookies and Analytics

  • We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and performance (GA4, Clarity).
  • Users in the EU/UK will be shown a consent banner in compliance with GDPR/ePrivacy.
  • You can adjust cookie settings in your browser at any time.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (e.g., by email or in-app notice). Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Policy.
